Shrinking Pictures in MS Paint

Before we begin, you should know, that larger images print on ID cards MUCH better than smaller pictures do.  The ID Card Wizard provides a way of reducing the size of images once they are uploaded.  But sometimes, pictures are WAY too large and need to be reduced in size to be able to add to an individual's profile or to the ID Card Wizard.

Simple Instructions on how to change the size of your picture.

First you need to open Microsoft Paint by clicking on the Start Button, then Programs, then Accessories, then Paint. When the program opens you should see something like this on your screen.

Next you need to open your picture by clicking on File, Open and locate your picture. When you select it, click the OK button and the picture should appear in the window of Microsoft Paint.

Now to resize your picture click on Image, Stretch/Skew and the below window will pop up.

Since your image is 150K you need to reduce the size of your image by 70% to meet the 50K size requirements.  Under Stretch, change BOTH the Horizontal to 70% and the Vertical by 70%. Then Click OK.

Your will see your image shrink in size on the screen.  Now click on File then Save and your image will be updated with the smaller size.  Once you have completed this process you can upload your picture.
